SEEING GREEN

wearing:   h&m knitted top   |   zara faux leather trousers   |   zara sheepskin coat   |   asos loafers |       zara checked scarf       marc jacobs watch

Green. Strange colour. The colour of these trousers immediately reminds me of my repulsive bottle green uniform, endured for a very long 5 years at school. But at the same time I can't help but love it - maybe in a heart-warming, endearing fondness kind of way? Ha. A bargain at £10 in Zara sale last year (sorry, old news but similar here), I immediately snapped these up in black too. I can't help but love a wallet-friendly leather look trouser! And with one of Zara's ah-mazing scarves from this season, school uniform memories are quickly fading. A very Zara themed outfit, no?

SPIKES

wearing:   topshop jumper   |   primark corduroy pinafore   |   primark spike necklace   |   marc jacobs watch   |   zara ponyskin pumps

Ahoy there! Long time no speak...again, my apologies, I've been busy with uni and work etc. (with maybe a hint of procrastination on Pinterest thrown in there - it's just SO addictive!). I've also been super busy spending stupid amounts of money on statement necklaces, my new obsession. I've always had a soft spot for chunky, cheap jewellery but could never seem to find the perfect statement necklace, but now I seem to have too much choice if anything - not complaining! And Primark's most recent gems have certainly hit the spot, including this new, sparkly (if not a little bit dangerous) number. Zara have some fab pieces in too, here!

Thrown with some Hugh Hefner-esque pony skin slippers, studded dream!

BUYMYWARDROBE LIVE AUTUMN EVENT

wearing:   topshop dress   |   zara white cardigan   |   h&m belt   |   topshop cut out boots   |   primark necklace   |   chanel bag

So last weekend myself and my lovely friend Hannah attended the BuyMyWardrobe Live Autumn Event held at the swanky Kensington Roof Gardens (pish posh, I know). BuyMyWardrobe is an amazing online marketplace for pre-owned designer goods and their live event consisted of just that...amazing pre-owned designer goods everywhere. Think Chanel, Moschino, Christopher Kane, The Row and Christian Louboutin everywhere you turn. Yes, heaven. And a fraction of the original price? Even better.

Unfortunately, my recent spending habits meant I couldn't purchase anything (my bank account is currently crying a river) but we definitely had a good gander. A girl can dream, right? Oh well, free mini cupcakes and champagne definitely made up for the heartache, ha!

And we met the lovely Bridget Sojourner from Channel 4's 'Fabulous Fashionistas' documentary (cue dorkiest photo in the world and a mouth full of free cake...cringe) and then bought a giant Pretzel from Wholefoods. All in all, a very productive day, haha!

Have a look at more of Hannah's beautiful photography here and also on Facebook and the BuyMyWardrobe site here, yeaahhh!

PINK

wearing:   river island boucle coat   |   zara t-shirt   |   karen millen snake effect jeans   |   nike vintage blazers   |   vivienne westwood necklace   |   h&m oversized hoop earrings

So, I'm still going through a pastel phase. I'm starting to think it's been a 'phase' for a little while too long though now and is turning more into something I subconsciously go for every single day when I get dressed. I'm not usually an overly girly, pinky person (which I think is why I'm becoming quite horrified by my new tendencies), but I've decided to embrace it with open arms. Feel the pink coat love.

AUTUMNAL GOODNESS

haul:   river island beaded cami   |   asos oxblood leather loafers   |   missguided green velvet dress (similar)   |   topshop cut-out heels   |   river island grey felt fedora   |   mac studio fix fluid   |   nars laguna bronzer   |   benefit playstick   |   essie polish in eternal optimist

Autumn, autumn, oh how I've missed you...kind of. Autumn weather? Not really. Autumn fashion? Now were talking. Some of these pieces I've had a few weeks but due to my severe lack of blogging (oops, sorryyyy) I never got around to posting about them. But here they are, finally. HOLLA.

Obviously, my complete lack of self control when it comes to spending has gone into overdrive (victim of consumerism at its finest). Over the past month I've aquired some absolute treasures and with all of the student discount offers being thrown around during freshers week, I couldn't resist. Everyone needs new clothes for a new semester, correct? Yes, correct. And a new face. Hello, accidental make-up splurge. Oops...

New obsession? Oxblood for winter. 20% off both Asos and River Island... no brainer.

And a delightful new dress from Missguided. Plus I finally accomplished my cut out boot and grey fedora dreams - Winner!

And some makeup replacements thrown in for good luck (excuse my rank infills). But discount, remember? It would be rude not to.

STYLIGHT

obsessing:   stylight

Apologies for the HUGE lack of blogging lately. I've been moving back in properly for uni and sorting boring stuff like that, so apologies. Yada Yada Yada...

Now, I love a good online store. Online shopping makes me happier than words can explain and is always there to fall back on after a long, hard day (this makes me sound like I have some kind of addiction, doesn't it?). So, when I found out about Stylight I was obviously over the flippin' moon...

Stylight is a pretty exciting concept in that you can upload looks, browse other's looks for fashion inspiration to see how others put outfits together AND (wait, it gets better..) you can also shop similar products, all in one place! Stylight links you up to products you like, or in my case, become severely obsessed with, so you can quickly snap up the pieces before they disappear into cyber space. Well, go out of stock...Couldn't be easier to get a quick style fix, eh?

Follow, heart, shop, whatever! Stylight is a fab place to get exploring the fashion community and get inspired by users and style from around the world! Have a look around here and if you're a newbie to Stylight (like yours truly), give us a follow

Happy shopping/ inspiring!

7 DAYS IN 7 INCHES

wearing:   ikrush rhianon heels*

The clue is in the title of this post. When the lovely folks at iKrush contacted me a few weeks ago asking if I'd be willing to take part in their '7 days in 7 inches' challenge, I can't deny I panicked a little. Myself and shoes have a love-hate relationship: I love them deeply, but this is an unrequited love, for sure. Also, imagine Bambi on ice; this is exactly how I look wearing shoes higher than 4 inch (I know, 4 inches. What am I?!).

But, I took the pillow away from my eyes for long enough to man up. When my lovely Rhianon heels arrived, the challenge was well and truly on (mainly with myself to prove that I can wear high shoes for longer than 2 hours without crying). For 7 WHOLE DAYS, these shoes were mine to love and care for...

wearing:   topshop fluffy sweat (here)   |   primark super skinny jeans   |   h&m leather belt   |   primark jewel necklace   |     marc jacobs watch   | ikrush heels*

wearing:   vero moda vest   |   h&m floral trousers   |   ikrush heels*   |   vintage clutch   |   h&m rings   |   jakarta necklace

When I first put on the shoes, I immediately felt like I was about to topple over (probably because I'm such a high shoe rookie!) but when I got used to wearing them, they were actually surprisingly comfortable AND easy to walk in, believe it or not!

wearing:   topshop shift dress   |   topshop studded hat   |   ikrush heels*   |   h&m bangles

wearing:   primark fluffy crop jumper   |   primark super skinny jeans   |   topshop hoop earrings   |   ikrush heels*

wearing:   topshop embroidered lace t-shirt   |   new look denim shorts   |   h&m leather belt   |
ikrush heels*   |   mulberry bayswater bag

Okay, so I'll hold my hands up and admit I didn't manage 7 days (shock) but 5/7 is a pretty good effort for me, no? These shoes are so versatile and can easily be dressed up with a nice dress and clutch or down with a pair of skinnies for daytime and you can take it from me, they aren't half as painful as you'd think a pair of 7 inch heels would be. And a bargain for just £29.99!

Check out the iKrush website here for lots of other lovely treats (ah-maaazing for mini dresses, too!)
