Ebay is probably my favourite place for online steals, ever. Conjure up something you want in your head and 9 times out of 10 you'll probably find it somewhere in this online treasure chest for a ridiculously low price (way to glamourise ebay, huh?). I have no idea who or where my gilet came from (well I do...a factory somewhere in China, apparently) but I do know that I love it with my heart and soul and after purchasing a few weeks ago, I'm currently throwing it over anything and everything that I can find in my wardrobe that slightly matches. Chances are I'll be over it in a few weeks - thats just what I seem to do, ha! - but for now, soak up the fluffiness...

DENIM DENIMS

Denim, denim. A bit of a life saver, eh? The do it all piece for when you haven't the foggiest what to wear (this is all getting a little bit philosophical, no?). So why so passionate about denim lately, I hear you ask? WELL, if you're asking, the lovely folks over at Stylight have asked me to take part in a very exciting little blogger competition they're doing, made up of 20 bloggers from the 7 countries they work in competing on a national, then international level for a lovely final prize of an all expenses paid trip to Berlin Fashion Week in Januray (ooh, exciting). The first round (of 3) has a denim theme...hence the excitement.

 So if you have a Stylight account and fancy giving me a follow and a 'heart' on my denim concoction (ha!) feel free to be kind and do so here! Here we are again - my good friend 'the lust list'. A few posts ago I mentioned my crazy obsession for the statement necklace (goodbye pastels, hello to the blingiest neck you've ever seen). That obsession, it's fair to say, is well and truly growing every time I enter Zara (I'm getting to the point where I'm having to close my eyes and leave as soon as I enter, why so many nice things that my bank account doesn't want me to have?!). I'm resorting to my new best friend eBay to provide me with my medallion needs at the moment - poor student problems. But from the cheap(ish) and cheerful to the downright expensiiiive, the small to the grand, here's what I'm really lusting/needing in my current phase...

Ahoy there! Long time no speak...again, my apologies, I've been busy with uni and work etc. (with maybe a hint of procrastination on Pinterest thrown in there - it's just SO addictive!). I've also been super busy spending stupid amounts of money on statement necklaces, my new obsession. I've always had a soft spot for chunky, cheap jewellery but could never seem to find the perfect statement necklace, but now I seem to have too much choice if anything - not complaining! And Primark's most recent gems have certainly hit the spot, including this new, sparkly (if not a little bit dangerous) number. Zara have some fab pieces in too, here!

7 DAYS IN 7 INCHES

The clue is in the title of this post. When the lovely folks at iKrush contacted me a few weeks ago asking if I'd be willing to take part in their '7 days in 7 inches' challenge, I can't deny I panicked a little. Myself and shoes have a love-hate relationship: I love them deeply, but this is an unrequited love, for sure. Also, imagine Bambi on ice; this is exactly how I look wearing shoes higher than 4 inch (I know, 4 inches. What am I?!).

But, I took the pillow away from my eyes for long enough to man up. When my lovely Rhianon heels arrived, the challenge was well and truly on (mainly with myself to prove that I can wear high shoes for longer than 2 hours without crying). For 7 WHOLE DAYS, these shoes were mine to love and care for...

When I first put on the shoes, I immediately felt like I was about to topple over (probably because I'm such a high shoe rookie!) but when I got used to wearing them, they were actually surprisingly comfortable AND easy to walk in, believe it or not!

Okay, so I'll hold my hands up and admit I didn't manage 7 days (shock) but 5/7 is a pretty good effort for me, no? These shoes are so versatile and can easily be dressed up with a nice dress and clutch or down with a pair of skinnies for daytime and you can take it from me, they aren't half as painful as you'd think a pair of 7 inch heels would be. And a bargain for just £29.99!

PVC VS. PASTELS

PVC.  A strange topic area. Sugar-coated mini trend of the season or something you now associate with the once so innocent Miley Cyrus? (Panic not, no twerking will be going down in this number. I hope). Love it or loathe it, Topshop seem to be having a 'vinyl moment' - and a mighty fine moment at that, may I add. From coats to skirts to satchels, Topshop have got it covered this season and I had to grab myself some of the action. With colours this sweet, how could I resist?

On first sightings, I was a little bit dubious about this skirt. Baby pink and PVC? Neither are usually my thing and when I asked for the opinion of my all-knowing family, one's response of 'thats a nice vase' didn't exactly raise my confidence levels, but nearly out of stock? I'll run the risk of looking like an ornament. Paired with a fluffy baby blue jumper, I'll admit the outfit is a bit of an ice cream-dream, but I seem to be going through a 'winter' pastels phase. Don't judge.

FLORALS? CHECK

Zara Autumn/ Winter 13 collection is perfection, there's no denying it. So when I saw this trf dress in my local store a few weeks ago, I knew I needed it straight away, no messing around. BUT when they didn't have my size my heart broke a little bit (dramatic, yes, but very true). So, I did the best thing you can do and  took a road trip down the motorway to Leeds where they had it! It was mine! And obviously I wasn't waiting to wear it after this whole kerfuffel! Straight on it went..

Far too excited for Winter now and to get my mitts on more of Zara's beautiful collection! Roll on payday, woo.

THE NEW THING

I'm calling this an 'accidental haul', perhaps to try and make myself feel better about the fact I bought these ah-maaazing shoes and tops when I currently have £0.00p in my bank account. Sigh.

The truth? This wasn't accidental AT ALL. I've had my eye on these Boohoo 'Cady' heels for a while and after trying to spend as little as possible whilst my bank balance recovers from my most recent excursion (London living + unpaid internship = my bank balance crying itself to sleep), I decided that I really deserve these babies. Pah! But I'm in love with them and I don't care who knows it. 

I also managed to snap up the 'Skye Scuba Bralet' in cream which I also needed, as it now means I don't have to steal my flatmates cream bralet whenever we go out. Surely that makes this all justifiable, no? And then there's the Striped knot-front bralet, which is gorgeous. If you can't already tell I was going through a bralet-loving, mad half hour when I purchased these. But who can blame a girl when it's free delivery over £35?! That's right, nobody. Ha!

These cute earrings from Primark were supposed to be 2 'L's', but luckily the pair I picked up had been arranged in my initials, therefore I couldn't leave them in the shop for £1...it was fate (and I love a good Kim Kardashian inspired earring haha!) 

Ps, please excuse my insanely creased bedding. My mother would be ashamed of me, but I ain't no domestic goddess!
